An "up north" Michigan experience in Leelanau County truly from a bygone era of summers spent on the shore of refreshing Lake Michigan enjoying breezes off the lake while watching a lovely sunset. The cottage Accommodates 9 guests - with 4 generously sized bedrooms, one small bedroom and 3 bathroom plus post beach shower on the lower level to rinse sandy beach bodies and feet.

Summary: We loved our stay. The host was communicative, and thorough, and thoughtful touches were made throughout the house, down to labeling different lights. Our group had a wonderful time and I'd love to go back. The location is the best you can get - walking distance to town, privacy on the beach, and a neat old well-maintained house on a hill with unobstructed views. If you like the charm of older properties and appreciate how lovingly a house can be maintained, then you will love this house. The huge picture windows looking out on the blue waters of Lake Michigan, coupled with the majestic stone fireplace give you a feel that you cannot easily duplicate.

Summary: We were able to catch the bonus days of summer at this lovely cottage. The views are just spectacular as is the beach front. The cottage has great historic significance to the community. Sara was fantastic about communicating.

Summary: This big house has everything you could possibly want, including an outstanding coffee bar. Plus the location on Lake Michigan, with your own beach, kayaks, beach towels, etc. It's a five-minute walk to historic Fishtown and excellent restaurants. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Summary: We had a fantastic week renting this historic cottage on Lake Michigan! The views looking out over the lake are unmatched, making it easy to enjoy the outside even when the weather was uncooperative. We enjoyed kayaking, walking the private beach, and the town of Leland a short walk away. Plenty of space for our family of five plus grandparents to spread out. The flowers and grounds are beautiful in the summer with lots of comfortable outdoor seating to sit and bird watch. A lovely property we would happily stay at again!!
